How to install Ivanti Antivirus 2017 to a non-default location (not Drive C:)

This document is for installations where you do not have SU3 or newer installed on your Ivanti EPM 2017.3 Core Server and are installing on a drive letter other than C:

 

Core Install files in Non-Default Drive Letter

If you have a multi-drive core and the Ivanti Management Console install files are in a non-default drive letter, the following steps are required:

 

To install this appliance on the core, conduct the following actions:

  • Navigate to %ldms_home%\ldlogon\avclientbd\updateserverinstall  and modify the InstallerConfig.xml as follows:
    • Step 1: Add a child node to reflect the following information: <installPath strVar="InstallDir"><![CDATA[%ldms_home%\..\..]]></installPath>

 

  <productWebsite strVar="ProductWebsite"><![CDATA[https://www.ivanti.com]]></productWebsite>  <supportWebsite strVar="SupportWebsite"><![CDATA[https://www.ivanti.com/support/ivanti-support]]></supportWebsite>  <supportContact strVar="SupportContact"><![CDATA[https://www.ivanti.com/support/contact]]></supportContact>  <supportTelephone strVar="SupportTelephone"><![CDATA[1.801.308.8047]]></supportTelephone>  <installPath strVar="InstallDir"><![CDATA[%ldms_home%\..\..]]></installPath></config>

 

  • Navigate to %ldms_home%\ldlogon\avclientbd\updateserverinstalland modify the BDUpdateServerSetupcfg.xml file as follows:
    •    Step 2: Modify the InstallDir node to reflect the following information: <installDir>%ldms_home%\..\..\Ivanti\Endpoint</installDir)

  • Step 3: Launch AVSetup.exe as an Administrator

A successful log entry will reflect the following data:
